Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats Penn State Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team picked up their second dual-meet victory of the season with a 118-69 win against Penn State Altoona in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

* The Behrend Lions claimed the first 14 points for taking first and second in the 200 yard medley relay
* Valerie Grimes (Farmington, PA/Uniontown), Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), Lacey Grinnen (Warren, PA/Warren) and Trulee Stainbrook (DuBois, PA/DuBois) was the first-place foursome with a time of 2:08.49
* Cessar added two individuals to the relay victory. She was first in the 100 and 200 backstroke events in 1:09.07 and 2:27.10, respectively
* As a team, the Lions finished in first and second place in seven events
