Behrend Lions in Fifth Place at Oberlin Invitational

GAMBIER, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team is in fifth place out of 10 teams after day one of the Oberlin Invitational.
Key Moments:
* The Lions tallied 211 points through five events after day one
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) and Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) were in the top eight in the 500 freestyle finals
* Puglia, who swam a 5:21.75 in the prelims, shaved almost a second off her final time to place third (5:20.62)
* Webster came in fifth place with a time of 5:26.26, nearly six seconds faster than the prelims
* The 200 free relay consisting of Trulee Stainbrook (DuBois, PA/DuBois), A. Webster, Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) and Alexa Brown (Cooperstown, PA/Rocky Grove) finished seventh in 1:46.75
* Cessar then led Behrend in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.17 for fourth place, followed by Emma Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) in seventh (2:22.21)
* The final relay of the night saw the Lions place fifth overall with a time of 4:16.12 thanks to Brown, Cessar, E. Webster and Puglia
