Women's Swimming and Diving Stays in Fifth at Oberlin Invite
The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team stayed in fifth place out of nine teams after day two of the Oberlin Invitational on Friday.
GAMBIER, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team stayed in fifth place out of nine teams after day two of the Oberlin Invitational on Friday.
Key Moments:
* The Lions more than doubled their first day score to collect 455 after 24 events
* Emma Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford), Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford), Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) began the finals with a fifth-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:54.10)
* A. Webster and Puglia managed third-place individual finishes after the relay
* Webster came in third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:58.76, while Puglia led with a time of 1:58.67 for third in the 200 freestyle
* Cessar and E. Webster tallied fourth-place finishes for Behrend
* Cessar was fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.66) and E. Webster clocked in at 1:00.97 in the 100 backstroke
* Pugla, E. Webster, A. Webster and Alexa Brown (Cooperstown, PA/Rocky Grove) collectively swam to fourth place with a time of 8:24.64 in the 800 free relay
