Women's Swimming and Diving Captures AMCC Championship
The Penn State Behrend women’s swimming and diving team won their 12th overall AMCC Championship on Saturday and finished second overall in the AMCC Empire Meet held at the Webster Aquatic Center.
ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team won their 12th overall AMCC Championship on Saturday and finished second overall in the AMCC Empire Meet held at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Noteworthy:
* The Behrend Lions won their first AMCC Title since the 2018-19 season
* The Lions won three individual events on the day to seal the championship
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) finished her career as a three-time champion in the 1650 freestyle
* Puglia led a 1-2 finish with a time of 18:38.67 followed by teammate Bella Nadzam (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) in 19:45.33 for the silver
* Emma Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) got her second gold medal of the championships, winning the 200 backstroke in 2:11.36
* In the 200 breaststroke, Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) joined Puglia in the three-peat
* Cessar has claimed the 200 breaststroke three years in a row, clocking in at 2:29.42 for gold
* Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) managed a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:29.21 before joining Puglia, Cessar, and Nadzam in the final 400 freestyle relay
* The foursome had a second-place time of 3:45.57 to complete the four-day championships
