Women's Swimming and Diving Finish Third; Sank Named Diver of the Year, Wallace Coach of the Year

ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team placed third out of 10 teams with a score of 830 points at the 2023 Allegheny-Empire Championships hosted by Nazareth College at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Noteworthy:

* Julia Sank (North East, PA/North East) was named AMCC Diver of the Year
* Head coach Jen Wallace was named AMCC Coach of the Year

Key Moments:

* One point separated Alfred State and the Behrend Lions for first in the AMCC
* Emma Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) reset her own team record in the 200 backstroke with a time a new time of 2:10.61
* Webster not only did better than her best, she repeated as champion in this event
* Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) had the fastest time for Behrend in the 200 butterfly (2:21.07) for fourth, while Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) was also fourth but in the 1650 free (18:58.05)
* The 400 free relay team of  Madelyn King (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown), Bella Nadzam (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy), King and Becca Krenzer (Grove City, PA/Grove City) took fourth in 3:42.96
* Before the relay, Krenzer clocked in at 55.74 for the 100 freestyle for sixth place overall
