Women's Swimming and Diving Dominate Pitt-Bradford

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team registered their second dual-meet victory of the season with a 173-57 decision over Pitt-Bradford in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

Key Moments:


* The Behrend Lions won 11 events, claiming the top three spots in four events and sweeping the diving events
* Lauren Stephens (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Julia Sank (North East, PA/North East) began the meet on the one-meter board
* Stephens won with a score of 193.65 and Sank posted a 138.90 total for second
* The duo dominated the three-meter board with scores of 208.55 and 156.30, respectively
* Behrend had four relay teams compete in the opening 400 medley relay, won by Marin O'Lone (Edinboro, PA/General McLane), Heidi Schwartz (Webster, NY/Webster), Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) and Emily Russell (Oil City, PA/Oil City)
* The foursome posted a winning time of 4:27.84
* After the relay, Watters won the 50 free (26.35) before leading a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 backstroke (2:15.99)
* In the 1000 free, MacKenzie Van Iddekinge (Evans City, PA/Seneca Valley) had the fastest time for first place (12:19.63)
* Becca Krenzer (Grove City, PA/Grove City) led a trio of Lions in the 200 freestyle, winning in 2:08.48
* Isabel Sheridan (Allentown, PA/Parkland) followed Krenzer with a win in the 100 backstroke (1:07.36)
* In the 100 free, Marin edged Pitt-Bradford's Bailey Fedak for first place in 58.90
* Lauren True and Russell won the final two events for Behrend
* True posted a time of 5:51.94 to win the 500 free and Russell had a nine-second lead in the 200 IM for first (2:31.76)
