ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team is in fourth place out of eight teams after day one of the 2024 Allegheny-Empire Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center on Wednesday night.
Combined Women's Scores: 1. Hartwick (124), 2. Alfred State (122), 3. Nazareth (116), 4. Penn State Behrend (112), 5. Penn State Altoona (94), 6. Alfred (90), 7. Pitt-Bradford (74) 8. Wells (60),
Noteworthy:
* The Behrend Lions competed in two relays on the night, placing second and fourth
* Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) led off the 200 yard medley relay, followed by Heidi Schwartz (Webster, NY/Webster), Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Becca Krenzer (Grove City, PA/Grove City)
* The foursome took second in 1:51.26, less than one second than Hartwick
* Isabel Sheridan (Allentown, PA/Parkland), Samantha Sebulak (Erie, PA/McDowell), Emily Russell (Oil City, PA/Oil City) and Madelyn King (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown) made up the 800 yard freestyle relay
* The group posted a time of 8:12.09 for fourth
