Records Fall on Day Two of SUNYAC-AMCC Championships
The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team broke six records while winning three events to move into second place at the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC Championships at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College on Thursday.
BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team broke six records while winning three events to move into second place at the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC Championships at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College on Thursday.
Combined Women's Scores: 1. SUNY Cortland (346), 2. Penn State Behrend (238), 3. Alfred State (214), 4. SUNY Oswego (202), 5. SUNY Oneonta (130), 6. Penn State Altoona (97), 7. SUNY New Paltz (89), 8. SUNY Potsdam (86), 9. Pitt-Bradford (63), 10. SUNY Fredonia (48)
Noteworthy:
* The Lions had two individual AMCC Champions and one relay to post a two-day point total of 238 for second place overall with two days remaining
* Kallie Smith (Oil City, PA/Oil City) and Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) had a hand in two first-place finish
* Watters, who broke the team record in the 50 backstroke on Wednesday night, held the top time in the 50 free after the preliminaries
* Watters came out in the finals and broke the Team, AMCC Meet and AMCC Open records with a time of 23.91
* Marin O'Lone (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) also competed in the 50 free, taking sixth place in 25.18
* Smith was named the AMCC Champion in the 200 IM with a first-place time of 2:11.61
* Smith and Madelyn King (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown) were the two finalists in the 200 IM, with King placing fifth in 2:15.73
* The lone relay of the night, the 200 free, made up by Smith, O'Lone, Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Watters also broke three records with a first-place finish
* The foursome set the Team, AMCC Meet and AMCC Open record in 1:38.50 to claim gold medals
* To start the evening session, Behrend had two swimmers in the 500 free finals
* Logan Wilson (Hermitage, PA/Hickory) came in second in the AMCC and third overall with a time of 5:15.97

* Behrend returns to the pool for day three of the SUNYAC-AMCC Championships on Friday. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
