Hunter Defeats Lions in NCAA Tournament

The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team fell to Hunter 5-3 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team fell to Hunter 5-3 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.

The Lions took two of the three doubles matches but only won one singles match.

Jade Buhite (Ashtabula, OH/Edgewood) and Rachel Harris (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) team up to win their doubles match, 8-5.  Megan Noschese (Ellwood City, PA/Riverside) and Carissa Zozos (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) also won their doubles match, 9-8.

In singles competition, Nochese was the lone Behrend winner.  Nochese won 6-1, 6-1.
