GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City women's tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 8-1 in non-conference action on Monday.

The Wolverines (6-3) snapped the Lions (7-7) two-match winning streak, earning all three doubles points and five out of the six singles for the victory.

Patra Sangpoompong (Bangkok, Thailand/Erie First Christian Academy) improved her team-best singles record to 8-1 with a 6-4, 6-4 decision over Lauren Troxel at the No. 2 spot.

Behrend returns on Wednesday against Mercyhurst. Match begins at 3:30 p.m.
