Women's Tennis Falls to Westminster

The Westminster women’s tennis team won all six singles games and two doubles to defeat Penn State Behrend 8-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster women's tennis team won all six singles games and two doubles to defeat Penn State Behrend 8-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

The Titans (6-0) remain undefeated on the season, while snapping the Lions (7-2) five –match winning streak.

Chelsea Czerwinski (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) and Alexandra Laffey (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) were the lone winners for Behrend at No. 1 doubles. The duo posted an 8-2 score to improve their doubles record to 9-0.

The Lions return to action on Friday at Penn State Altoona. Match begins at 4 p.m.
