St. Vincent Defeats Women's Tennis
Amanda Gans and Jacquelyn Hauser won both singles and doubles competition to win three of the six sets to lead St. Vincent over Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team 6-3 in non-conference action on Saturday.
LATROBE, Pa. – Amanda Gans and Jacquelyn Hauser won both singles and doubles competition to win three of the six sets to lead St. Vincent over Penn State Behrend women's tennis team 6-3 in non-conference action on Saturday.
The Bobcats won two doubles and four singles games for the win. Morgan Kramer (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan) and Malinda Miller (Champion, PA/Connellsville) had a close 9-8 win at No. 3 doubles for the Lions.
Miller was the only double winner for Behrend with a 5-7, 6-0, 10-7 victory at No. 4 singles. Colleen Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) had the other singles win in the fifth spot. She defeated Hannah Kahn in three sets (3-6, 6-4, 10-7).
Behrend returns to action on Monday in its final home match of the season against Grove City, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
