ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster women's tennis team handed Penn State Behrend its first loss of the season, posting a 7-2 decision in non-conference action on Tuesday.
The Titans (3-1) earned their third win of the season by winning two doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
Malinda Miller (Champion, PA/Connellsville) was the lone singles winner for the Lions (7-1). She tallied a 6-3, 6-4 victory over M. Somora.
Celeste Bentley (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) and Kelly Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) pulled out a close win at No. 3 doubles. The duo collected a 9-7 score on the day.
Behrend returns to action on Friday at Washington & Jefferson. Match begins at 4 p.m.
