Bentley, Czerwinski Lead Women's Tennis Past Houghton

HOUGHTON, NY – Celeste Bentley (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) and Chelsea Czerwinski (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) each won twice to lead the Penn State Behrend women's tennis team past Houghton 6-3 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

Bentley won at No. 3 doubles along with Kelly Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) 8-0 and then posted a 6-0, 6-3 decision at No. 4 singles to help the Lions (14-7) their final win of the spring season.

Czerwinski and Colleen Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) tallied an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Czerwinski also defeated Tori Noller 6-2-, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Malinda Miller (Champion, PA/Connellsville) and Morgan Kramer (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan) completed the doubles sweep for Behrend with an 8-5 victory at the No. 2 spot.

Oksana Omelchenko (Erie, PA/Central Tech) was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at No. 6 singles to pick up the final point for the Lions.
