The Grove City women’s tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 8-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

ERIE, PA – The Grove City women's tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 8-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wolverines (6-3) were able to break open a 2-1 lead by winning all six singles matches for the victory.

The Lions (6-5) were able to come away with a win at No. 1 doubles. Kelly Miller (Louisville, OH/Louisville) and Celeste Bentley (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) posted an 8-4 decision over Janine Jones and Morgan Happo.

Behrend returns to action on Saturday, October 14 for the first round of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at Westwood Racquet Club.
