Women's Tennis Welcomes AMCC Teams This Weekend
The Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team will host a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) matches this weekend. The Lions will host the La Roche Redhawks on Friday at 4 p.m. and the Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Friday, September 17: Behrend vs. La Roche, 4 p.m. (Behrend Tennis Courts)
Saturday, September 18: Behrend vs. Pitt-Greensburg, 1 p.m. (Westwood Racquet Club)

* The Behrend Lions are currently first in the AMCC with a 2-0 overall record and 1-0 AMCC mark
* Junior Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was named AMCC Athlete of the Week
* She posted a 2-0 singles record at the No. 1 spot and a 2-0 doubles mark at No. 2. She only gave up four set points in singles action, winning 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0 last week
* Last week, Behrend posted an 8-1 victory over Alfred and then tallied a 9-0 decision against Pitt-Bradford
* The Lions are the reigning AMCC Champions
* Marissa Bowles (Springfield, NJ/Columbia) and Jada Donatien (Brooklyn, NY/Millburn) are undefeated at No. 1 doubles through two matches
