ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team hosts Fredonia on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference match beginning at 4 p.m. on the Behrend Courts.

* The Lions opened Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action last Sunday in their home opener, defeating Penn State Altoona 5-2
* Four different players were double winners in the victory
* Tamanna Sharma (Brampton, Canada/Flether's Meadow Secondary School), Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy), Lindsey Kerlin (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield Area) and Lauren Burkley (Irwin, PA/Penn Trafford) won both matches on the day
* Sharma, the 2023 AMCC Newcomer of the Year, was named AMCC Athlete of the Week
* Sharma earned the honor for posting a 6-2 decision at No. 1 doubles and a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles against the Altoona Lions
* Behrend recently fell to AMCC Champions Pitt-Greensburg yesterday by a score of 4-3
* The Lions are now 1-1 in conference action
