Siljkovic Secures AMCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week; Behrend Sweeps Conference Runners of the Week
Women’s tennis freshman Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week, while Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) and Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) were named conference Runners of the Week.
ERIE, Pa. – Women's tennis freshman Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week, while Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) and Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) were named conference Runners of the Week.
Siljkovic went undefeated on the week playing up at the No. 1 spot for both doubles and singles for Behrend in AMCC action. She did not give up a set point at No. 1 singles vs. La Roche.
Hartle was the first Lion to cross the finish line at the Kara Hall Memorial Invite. Her time of 25:37.1 placed her in 52nd place out of 140 competing runners, which is also the top time in the AMCC for the women so far this season.
Kerr was the top-finisher for the Behrend men on Saturday at Fredonia, finishing 42nd out of a field of 184 runners with a time of 27:31.15. This time is the top men's time in the AMCC so far this season.
The women's tennis team heads to Clarion on Tuesday, Oct. 8, while the cross country teams are back in action at Gettysburg on Saturday, Oct. 19.
