Behrend Women's Tennis Set for AMCC Championships
The No. 2 Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team will face No. 3 Penn State Altoona in the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at approximately 5 p.m. at the Oxford Athletic Club.
WEXFORD, Pa. – The No. 2 Penn State Behrend women's tennis team will face No. 3 Penn State Altoona in the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at approximately 5 p.m. at the Oxford Athletic Club. The match will follow the first semifinals featuring No. 1 Pitt-Greensburg and No. 4 Mt. Aloysius at 2:30 p.m.
Penn State Behrend News & Notes:
* The Lions last won the AMCC Championship in 2020
* Behrend enters the championship as the No. 2 seed for the fifth straight year
* Last season, Pitt-Greensburg defeated the Lions 5-0 in the title match to win its third straight AMCC crown
* Behrend enters the tournament 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the AMCC
* The Lions only loss was to the No. 1 seed Pitt-Greensburg (4-3) back on Sept. 22
* Behrend defeated Penn State Altoona 5-2 during the regular season
* The winner of the semifinals will advance to the championship match slated for Sunday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m.
* Lindsey Kerlin (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) and Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) lead the team with seven singles wins

* Altoona is 7-9 overall this season, recently falling to Juniata 7-0 on Oct. 14
