25 Tab All-CSAC Honors; Cooper Named Coach of the Year

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's outdoor and track and field team won a Colonial States Athletic (CSAC) Championship on May 6, and a total of 25 women earned All-Conference honors by finishing in the top three of their respective events.

After earning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Cross Country Coach of the Year honors in the fall, head coach Greg Cooper caps off the spring as the Coach of the Year for both the men's and women's track teams. He led the women's squad to win the inaugural CSAC Championships by capturing 246.50 points.

Along with Coach Cooper's accolade, Rachel Pell (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) garnered CSAC Track Athlete of the Year after winning both the 400 meter dash and the 400 meter hurdles, setting a new CSAC record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.46. She also tabbed second-place finishes in the 100 meter hurdles and 200 meter run.
