Long Breaks Indoor Triple Jump School Record Saturday
Freshman Rylee Long (Slippery Rock, PA/Moniteau) broke the women’s triple jump school record for the Penn State Behrend women’s indoor track & field team Saturday afternoon at Mount Union.

* Long jumped 36-10 ¼ to break the school record, quality for AARTFC, and score a victory in the event. The triple jump indoor record was previously set by Staci Banaszek 17 years ago with a jump of 36-9 during the 2006 season
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) earned a first-place finish with a new personal best and AARTFC qualifying mark of 11-1 in the pole vault. This marks the first time in her career that she has gone over 11' in competition
* The Lions finished second and third in the 3000m as Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) crossed the finish line with times of 11:10.43 and 11:42.05
* The 4x2 relay team of Eliza Paura (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Ludlowe), Brooke Reding (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama), Victoria Dietrich (Oakmont, PA/Riverview), and Grace Jones (Union City, PA/Union City) placed third with a time of 2:00.16
* In the 500m, Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) tallied a third-place finish for the Lions (1:23.65)
* Jessica Park (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) recorded a throw of 43-3 in the weight throw for sixth place
* Kappeler would go on to place seventh in the 200m (27.77)
