Women’s Indoor Track & Field Began Season In Mount Union Invitational
The Penn State Behrend women’s indoor track & field team began the 2024-25 season at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational on Saturday.
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's indoor track & field team began the 2024-25 season at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) ran a second place time of 1:26.09 in the 500m dash
* In the pole vault, Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) tied for second with a height of 10-8 ¼, while Noelani Takei (Fremont, CA/Irvington) (9-2 ½) registered eighth
* Kappeler would go on to place 10th with a time of 27.84 in the 200m dash
* In their first collegiate meet, freshman Jaade Duncan (Turner Falls, MA/Turner Falls) finished eighth in the 60m dash with a time of 8.44, while fellow freshman Braylee Lukehart (Reynoldsville, PA/DuBois Area) grabbed 17th place with a distance of 32-8 ½ in the shot put
