Volleyball Goes International; Lions Head to Costa Rica

ERIE, Pa. - The Behrend women's volleyball team will take its talents to Costa Rica for a nine-day, eight-night international tour, departing on Tuesday, May 24 and returning back to the states on Wednesday, June 1. The travel squad is comprised of nine players, two coaches and two parents.

The Lions will spend four days in the capital city of San Jose, while spending three days at the beach resort Hotel Punta Leona near Jaco and two days in San Carlos. The team will compete in three matches and also be involved with a community service project.  In addition to playing, the team will have the opportunity to enjoy sightseeing activities, including hot water springs, beaches, waterfalls, a rainforest hike and a river tour.

Various members of the team will chronicle the tour with daily "blogs", which will be posted online at psblions.com throughout the trip.
