Lions Record a Pair of AMCC Victories
The Penn State Behrend volleyball team defeated La Roche and Pitt-Greensburg 3-0 to pick up a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victories on Saturday afternoon.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend volleyball team defeated La Roche and Pitt-Greensburg 3-0 to pick up a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) victories on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match, the Lions (11-14, 4-2 AMCC ) breezed past the Redhawks, 25-11, 25-8 and 25-12. In the nightcap, Behrend shut out Pitt-Greensburg for the second time this season, winning 25-15, 25-18 and 25-21.
Stefanie Kelley (Moon Township, PA/Moon) recorded 26 digs on the day, while Magnusen dished out 58 assists for two matches.
Against La Roche, Mary Sperry (Atlantic, PA/Conneaut Lake) knocked in eight kills and three aces. Kelley added eight digs and eight kills.
It was a total team effort in the second match with Jessica Woods (Corry, PA/Corry) recording 10 kills and three blocks. Catherine Healy (Connellsville, PA/Connellsville) tallied seven kills and Alyssa Pears (Meadville, PA/Meadville) added six kills for the three-set win.
The Lions returns to action on Tuesday against Buffalo State. The match begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised on Image Sports Network.
