BUFFALO, NY – For the second time this season, the Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team defeated D'Youville 3-0 but this time in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.
Nearly a month ago, the Lions (15-7, 5-0 AMCC) and the Spartans met at the Morrisville Tournament and won in three sets. Tonight, Behrend posted a 25-5, 25-20, and 25-12 win.
Chelsea Magnusen (Plum, PA/Plum) dished out 25 assists and tacked on four kills, while Tory Storino (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) led with 16 digs and three aces.
Lindsay Bean (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) added 10 kills and Meredith Snyder (Parker, PA/Allegheny Clarion Valley) contributed seven kills and six assists.
Amber Ricci (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic) tallied seven digs and three aces in the victory.
Behrend returns to action on Saturday against La Roche and Wooster, beginning at 12 p.m.
