GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City women's volleyball team defeated Penn State Behrend 3-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Wolverines (9-5) captured the first game 25-20, before falling to the Lions (10-3) 25-22 and making it a 1-all match. Grove City managed to win the next two games 25-22 and 25-17, respectively, to post its fourth straight win over Behrend.

Natalija Galens recorded a double-double for the Wolverines with 12 kills and 11 digs. Jamie Robatisin made a team-best 20 digs.

For the Lions, Alyssa Samarco (Plum, PA/Plum) tallied a game-best 22 digs to go with six kills. Meredith Snyder (Parker, PA/Allegheny Clarion Valley) led with nine kills and four blocks.

Hannah Saunders (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) tallied 25 assists, five digs and five kills, while Courtney Hopson (Erie, PA/McDowell) and by Allania Banta (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) each added 13 digs.

Behrend returns to action on Thursday against Thiel, beginning at 7 p.m.
