HAMBURG, NY – Hannah Saunders (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) posted 29 assists while Amanda Henry (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) knocked down 12 kills to lead Penn State Behrend past Hilbert 3-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) women's volleyball action on Tuesday night.

The Lions (9-8, 1-2 AMCC) got their first conference win of the season and 13th straight victory over the Hawks (9-12, 1-4 AMCC), defeating them in straight sets 25-14, 25-15 and 25-19.

Behrend posted 11 kills in the first and second sets, while getting 13 in the third set.

Paige Scurpa (Sharpsville, PA/Sharpsville) had a game-high 12 digs and Rachel Frye (Leechburg, PA/Kiski) added nine kills in the win.

The Lions defense held Hilbert to just 20 kills over the three sets.

Behrend returns to action on Friday night against Washington College at the Knights Fall Classic hosted by Neumann. Match time is 6 p.m.
