ALFRED, NY - The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team tallied two wins in a non-conference tri-match with Alfred State and Lyndon State on Saturday held at Alfred State.
The Lions (5-8) started the day with a 25-20, 25-11, 25-14 win over Alfred State and then managed Lyndon State 25-7, 25-7, 25-8 in the nightcap.
Amanda Henry (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) led Behrend against Alfred State with 14 kills, while Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) tallied with seven kills on 14 attempts with one error. Hannah Saunders (Elzabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) added 28 assists, seven digs and four kills.
In the win over Lyndon State, Lexi Irwin (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield0 tallied 11 assists and six kills on seven attempts. Hering also posted six kills and Saunders matched Irwin with 11 assists.
Behrend returns to action on Wednesday against Pitt-Bradford. Match time is 7 p.m.
