Lions Fall Twice at Northwest PA Challenge
The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the final day of the Northwest PA Challenge, falling to Westminster in five sets and then Wooster 3-0 in the Junker Center on Saturday afternoon.

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the final day of the Northwest PA Challenge, falling to Westminster in five sets and then Wooster 3-0 in the Junker Center on Saturday afternoon.
Match One
Final Score: Westminster 3, Behrend 2 (23-25, 25-11, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-3), Westminster (6-1)
Key Moments:
* It is the Lions second five-set loss this season
* Behrend won the even sets (25-11, 25-23)
* The Lions jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the fifth and reached eight points first, but Reilly DeGeorge served up an ace to win 15-13 for the Titans
* Lexi Irwin (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) and Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) each recorded double-doubles for Berhend. Irwin had 32 assists and 20 digs, while Hering led with 11 kills and 17 digs
* Alex Parra (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) led with six blocks and added five kills
Match Two
Final Score: Wooster 3, Behrend 0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-19)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-4), Wooster (7-2)
Key Moments:
* Freshman Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and Amanda Henry (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) each had seven kills
* Irwin added 23 assists and 12 digs
* Behrend grabbed a quick 9-7 lead in the first before the Fighting Scots used a 5-0 run to take the lead for good
* The second set was tied five times with the last at 18-all. Wooster won the next seven out of 10 points for a 25-21 victory
