Behrend Volleyball Sweeps DYC in Season Opener

BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team opened the 2019 season with a 3-0 in non-conference action on Friday night.

Key Moments:

* Junior defensive specialist Madison Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) entered the season with 997 career digs and she posted a team-high seven digs to surpass 1,000 
* Alex Parra (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) led with six kills
* As a team, the Lions held. 29-15 advantage in kills knocking down 12 in the second set
* Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) added six digs, four kills and one ace
* Head coach Phil Pisano is now one win away from 300 career victories
