PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team opened Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play with a 3-1 win over La Roche on Friday night.

Final Score: Behrend 3, La Roche 1 (25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-22)

Records: Penn State Behrend (8-9, 1-0 AMCC), La Roche (7-9, 1-1 AMCC)

* In the AMCC Match of the Week, the Lions got their second straight win and handed the Redhawks their first conference loss
* Brooke Joncas (Corry, PA/Corry) and Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) each had a double double
* Joncas led with a match-high 24 digs and 15 kills, while Phillips contributed 12 kills and 17 digs
