Behrend Women's Volleyball Takes Two on the Road

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Behrend women's volleyball team won a pair of non-conference matches on the road, defeating Ursinus 3-0 and William Patterson 3-2 on Saturday.

Match One:
Final Score: Behrend 3, Ursinus 0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-21)
Records: Penn State Behrend (10-3), Ursinus (7-6)

Key Moments:

* The Behrend Lions have won five straight to improve to 11-3
* Behrend forced 20 attack errors to sweep the Bears
* Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) recorded double-digit kills with a team-high 13
* Maura Benim (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) added nine digs, eight kills and two service aces
* Benim recorded the final aces at the end of the third set to help the Lions complete the sweep
* Defensively, Sarah Nobach (Athens, MI/Athens) led with 13 digs and Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) posted 33 assists on 40 team kills

* The Lions tallied 11 kills in each set except the fourth
* Phillips registered a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs, while serving up five aces
* Breana Reynolds (Meadville, PA/Meadville) matched Phillips' kills with 12
* Benim added 12 digs and nine kills in the five-set match
* Goodsel was the second player with a double-double
* Goodsel had 35 assists and 10 digs
