ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team registered a pair of wins, defeating Pitt-Greensburg and Oberlin in four sets on Saturday afternoon in the Junker Center.
Match One:
Final Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Pitt-Greensburg 1 (25-12, 19-25, 25-9, 25-18)
Records: Penn State Behrend (17-5, 6-1 AMCC), Pitt-Greensburg (5-19, 2-6 AMCC)
Key Moments:
* Behrend extends its win streak to four straight matches
* Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) handed out 45 assists, including 14 in the first set on 16 kills to surpass 1,500 career assists
* Sara Novak (Lower Burrell, PA/Burrell) had a career-high 17 kills and Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) tallied a double-double
* Phillips led with 15 digs and added 11 kills

* Goodsel came up short of another triple-double, posting 29 assists, 15 digs and eight kills
* Novak led again in kills with 12 and Reynolds added 10 kills
* With the Lions leading 2-1 in the match and tied in the third set 19-all, Benim and Reynolds put up blocks and Nobach tallied an ace to swing the momentum to Behrend and hold on for the win
