Behrend Women's Volleyball Stands Third in AMCC Preseason Poll
The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team has been picked to finish third in the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team has been picked to finish third in the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
Last season, the Lions were named AMCC Co-Regular Season Champions with an 8-1 conference record. Behrend earned the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament and fell in the semifinals to Alfred State. The Lions finished the season with an overall record of 21-7. Behrend also earned a postseason bid to the ECAC South Tournament, dropping a 3-0 decision to Allegheny.
Penn State Altoona was voted for the top spot in the poll, while Alfred State was selected to place second. The Altoona Lions won their third AMCC title last season, defeating the Pioneers, 3-1.
Behrend returns junior libero Sara Nobach (Athens, MI/Athens). She finished fourth in the AMCC in digs per set at 4.48 and fourth in total digs with 448 a season ago.
