Women's Volleyball Hosts Penn State Altoona, Wooster

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team will finish out their regular-season home schedule with a tri-match on Saturday in the Junker Center. The Lions will face Penn State Altoona in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action at 12 p.m. and battle Wooster at 4:30 p.m.

* The Lions posted a five-set win at Alfred State on Wednesday night, winning the first two sets and then the fifth set  
* Behrend is in a four-way tie for second place in the conference standings with a 2-1 record
* Cadence Jones (North East, PA/North East) and Brynne Smith (Butler, PA/Knoch) each posted a double-double in the win
* Jones tallied 20 kills and 10 digs, while Smith had her season-best five-set assist total with 40 and added 15 digs
* Last week, Smith averaged 8.13 assists, 4.63 digs and 1.75 service aces in a 1-1 week
* Smith tallied a pair of double-doubles and was one ace away from a triple-double against Mt. Aloysius * Against the Mounties, Smith recorded 33 assists, a season-high 23 digs and nine aces
* The Lions are 3-3 against Wooster in the all-time series
* Behrend fell to Altoona last season on the road, 3-0
