Bio

Carissa Johnston enters her 12th season as an assistant coach with the Penn State Behrend volleyball program. She had an outstanding career as a member of the Lions' volleyball team from 2006-09.  

Johnston was a four-year starter at outside hitter, two-time all-conference selection and Student Athletic Advisory Committee representative. She graduated with a degree in general arts and sciences, and recently completed her a master's degree in education at Mercyhurst College.

Johnston earned her second master's degree in business adminstration at Behrend in 2015 and currently is a physican recruiter for Allehgeny Health Network.
