On May1, the Penn State Behrend women's water polo team announced its team awards for the 2009 season.

Selected as the program's Most Valuable Player was sophomore driver Danielle Palski (Souderton, PA/Souderton). Named as Most Improved was Anne Lawrence (State College/State College).

Freshman driver Kim Giles (North East/North East) was tabbed the Rookie of the Year, and freshman goalie Jenna Zeyfang (Erie, PA/Erie First Academy) was picked as the Leadership and Scholarship Award winner.

With all four of these players expected to return next spring, Coach Tristan's program will be looking forward to a successful 2010 season.
