Behrend Women's Water Polo Falls to Grove City in Junker Center Pool

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team lost to Grove City 13-2 in the Junker Center pool on Tuesday, March 30.  The blue and white fell behind 4-0 after one period and trailed 9-1 at halftime.  The Behrend women held Grove City to four second half goals but couldn't get enough going offensively to mount a comeback.

Tegan Boland (Roselle, IL/Conant) again found the back of the net, as the junior slammed home one of Behrend's two goals in the game.  The other Behrend Lion goal came off the arm of freshman Stefania Pontillo (Erie/McDowell).

The Behrend Lions are back in action at home on Thursday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. versus Washington & Jefferson.  The blue and white then continue the homestand with a game against Mercyhurst at 7:00 p.m. on April 6.  Behrend and Grove City will face off later this season when they meet at the CWPA Regional Tournament 2 in Connecticut on April 10.
