Lions Fall to Vanguard

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell to Vanguard on Tuesday afternoon, 18-4.

PASADENA, Calif. - The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell to Vanguard on Tuesday afternoon, 18-4.

After a close first quarter, Vanguard held the Lions (0-2) scoreless in the second quarter to take the momentum into the second half.

Lindsay Musoleno (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) led Behrend with two goals.  The freshman scored multiple goals for the second straight game.

MaryEllen Spooner (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) and Anne Lawrence (State College, PA/State College) each added a goal as well.

Behrend fell behind 10-1 after the first half and lost the second half 8-3.

The Lions will be back in the water on March 15th at 8 p.m. at Gannon.
