Lions Drop Two at CWPA Tournament II

KENOSHA, Wisc. – The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell twice on Saturday at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Tournament II.  Macalester defeated the Lions 11-2 and Connecticut College knocked off Behrend 19-3.

In their first game of the day, the Lions fell behind 8-2 at halftime.  Despite only allowing three second-half goals, Behrend went scoreless and could not catch Macalester.

Mary Therese Causgrove (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Paula Rusca (Chicago, IL/Whitney Young) each netted a goal for the Lions.  Rusca added an assist with Alex Isaacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) contributing one assist.  Elizabeth Causgrove (Erie, PA/McDowell) made 10 saves in net to go with six steals.

Against Connecticut College, the Camels scorched the net for nine goals in the first quarter and five in the second.  Behrend scored single goals in the second, third, and fourth, but it was not enough to get past Connecticut College.
