CLAREMONT, Ca. -- The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell twice on Saturday afternoon in the Claremont Convergence.
In game one, played at Haldeman Pool, Azusa Pacific defeated the Lions 24-0.
Megan Myers and Rebecca Bennigson each scored four times for the Cougars, who led 8-0 after one quarter and 15-0 at the break.
Kara Stegmann (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) made six saves in net for Behrend.
In the second game, played at Axelrod Pool, the Lions were tripped up by Cal St. San B'dino by a 19-2 margin.
Freshman Brittany Pinter (Erie, PA/McDowell) scored both goals for Behrend and Stegmann accumulated seven saves.
The Lions will continue their west coast swing when they take on Caltech in Pasadena on Tuesday, March 11 at 8 p.m., eastern.
