Playing in the final game of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Regional, the Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell to Carthage, 12-0.

NEW LONDON, Ct. - Playing in the final game of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Regional, the Penn State Behrend women's water polo team fell to Carthage, 12-0.

Carthage (8-5) was able to jump out to an early lead in the first half and sustain the advantage throughout the game. Carthage held the Lions (6-11) scoreless helping to pick up the victory.

Kara Stegmann (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) continued her solid play in the net making six saves throughout the game.

Behrend will return to action Wednesday when they host cross-town rival Mercyhurst. The game is set to start at 8 p.m.
