Lions Continue in CWPA Championships
The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team competed the second and third round of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championships on Saturday.
NEW LONDON, Ct. – The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team competed the second and third round of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championships on Saturday.

Game 1
* In the first game, the Lions won 5-0 over the Presidents
* Behrend was leading 8-7 with two minutes left in the game
* The Presidents had to forfeit the remainder of the game, defaulting in a 5-0 Behrend win
Game 2
* The Lions took on Grove City in the second game of the day, due to a win over W&J
* Behrend fell to the Wolverines, 12-10
* Daniella Rios (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico / Sagrados Corazones) led the team with two goals and five assists
* Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) and Remy De Guzman (Mission Viejo, CA / Trabuco Hills) also both chipped in two goals
* Allison McClure (Loveland, OH/Milford) tallied one goal, four steals, and two assists in the game
* JoJo Gager (Holland, MI/West Ottawa) pulled in two steals along with a goal
* The teams remaining goals were scored by Angela Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) (1) and Clare Jefferys (Erie, PA/Villa Maria) (1)
* In goal, Mackensie Robie (Girard, PA/Girard) had eight saves and two steals

* Penn State Behrend will play for seventh place in the CWPA Championships at 9 a.m. tomorrow against Connecticut College.
