Darrell Named CWPA Co-Defensive Player of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore Penn State Behrend women's water polo player Nic Darrell (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Darrell opened the season with nine goals, 20 steals, 11 assists, three field blocks, and one drawn kickout over three games. In the game against Mercyhurst, she tallied three goals against Mercyhurst, and tied a 19-year old school record with 10 steals.  She added four goals and another five steals against Wittenberg.

The Lions return to action this weekend at the Grove City Invitational. Behrend faces Salem on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
