Lions Drop Final Two Games in California

CLAREMONT, Ca. - The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team could not get past Redlands and La Verne in the final day of the Convergence Tournament in California.

Match One

Score: Redlands 11, Penn State Behrend 8
Records: Redlands (1-10), Penn State Behrend (0-7)

* Susie Carrillo (Fresno, CA/Clovis North Educational Center) delivered three goals on a game-high 11 shots
* Darragh Martin (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) dished out a team-high three assists, followed by Olivia Wright's (Fairview, PA/Fairview) two helpers
* Martin also led the Lions with three steals
* As a team, Behrend outshot the Bulldogs, 29-20

Match Two

Score: La Verne 19, Penn State Behrend 9
Records: La Verne (1-6), Penn State Behrend (0-8)

* Martin scored a team-high three goals, while Nic Darrell (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) tallied two scores and two assists
* On the defensive side, Darrell recorded three steals
* Freshman Angelique Gadsky (Salinas, CA/Notre Dame) notched her first collegiate point with an assist to Darrell in the fourth period
