Lions Win Two Games At CWPA Regional Tournament 1; Persch Tallies 100 Career Goals
WASHINGTON, Pa. - Junior Marley Persch (Hudsonville, MI/Hudsonville) scored her 100th career goal in a 15-5 Penn State Behrend women's water polo victory over Wheaton to begin the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Regional Tournament 1, hosted by Washington & Jefferson. The Lions finished with a 2-2 record at the regional tournament this weekend.

Game One:
 Penn State Behrend 15, Wheaton (Mass.) 5

* ​Freshman Angelique Gadsky Salinas, CA/Notre Dame) scored a game-high three goals, tallying two of her scores in the first period
* ​Fellow freshman Scarlett Hall (Carlsbad, CA/San Marcos) delivered two goals for the Lions
* With 7:46 left in the second period, Persch recorded her milestone score to put Behrend up 10-1
* ​Behrend outscored the Lyons 12-2 in the first half

* Carrillo registerd a team-high six goals against the hosts
* Martin notched five scores, while Persch tallied two goals
* Carrillo also chipped in three assists

Game Three: Connecticut College 14, Penn State Behrend 13
Records: Connecticut College (5-0), Penn State Behrend (2-10)
 
Key Moments:

* Martin led the Lions with four goals, followed by Carrillo's hat trick
* Persch and Villasenor each put the ball in the back of the net twice against the Camels
* Behrend held a 10-9 lead through three periods of play; however, Connecticut College outscored the Lions, 5-3, in the final period

Game Four: Penn State Behrend 17, Grove City 14

* A trio of Lions carried the team to a win over the Wolverines to end the tournament
