ERIE, Pa -- Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy)  finished second overall and Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren)  came in fifth to lead the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team to a third place finish at the Behrend Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Veronica Bujdos of Gannon University won the race, carding a time of 18:07.7, and Fredonia State took the team competition with a score of 51 on a picturesque afternoon at Penn State Behrend.

For the Lions, Bertges finished with an overall time of 18:40.8, and Spade ended in 19:20. Haley Hughes (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton ) finished 19^th,and Danielle Stanko (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) 20^th, with times of 20:05.2 and 20:08.1, respectively. Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) was the fifth Behrend runner to finish, coming in with a time of 21:06.0.

The Lions will next run October 5^th at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
