BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) finished 29th overall to lead the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team at the Paul Short College Women's Brown 6K on Saturday afternoon.
The runners endured an intense heat that forced the cancellation of several races later in the day.
Bertges finished with a time of 22:39 to lead the Lions.
Danielle Stanko (Sagertown, PA/Sagertown) came in at 29:28, Haley Hughes (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) finished with a time of 29:52, and Miranda Boatman (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) finished in 29:58 for Behrend.
The Lions, who finished 41st as a team, will travel to Oberlin, Ohio to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble on October 19.
