Lions Finish Second at Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Oh. – Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) came in first individually and the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished second overall at the Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday afternoon in Oberlin, Ohio.

Bertges finished the 6K run with a time of 23:11.1. This was the second time this season she finished first, and the fourth time she placed in the top four.

The Lions had two other runners place in the top 10, as Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren) finished eighth with a time of 24:29.4 and Haley Hughes (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton ) came in 10th with a mark of 24:34.8.

Danielle Stanko (Sagertown, PA/Sagertown) finished 19th with a time of 24:52.0, and Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) finished in 25:47.7, good for 49th place.

Behrend will next compete at the AMCC Championship on November 2 in Buffalo, NY.
