Manno Leads Lions at Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN, Oh. - The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished 36th out of 40 teams Saturday at the Oberlin Invitational. The Lions finished with a team score of 1080 in the 6k event.

Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) led Behrend finishing with a time of 25:56. This was good for 226th place in the 40 team event. Miranda Boatman (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) finished second on the Lions squad running a 26:58.5. Boatman finished in 264th place.

Finishing just behind Boatman was Abby Gilmore, (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) who ran a 27:08.1 and placed 269th. Jamie Szramowski (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic) came in eight places behind Gilmore running a time of 27:24.7.

Franki DiSalvo (Erie, PA/McDowell) had a solid performance running a 28:44.7. DiSalvo's time earned her 304th place. Freshman Catherine Fox (Fairview, PA/Fairview) took 306th place finishing just behind DiSalvo with a time of 29:00.1.

The Lions are off next weekend and will look forward to the AMCC Championship hosted by Franciscan November 1st. The start time is slated for 11:00 a.m.
